To me, sharing music is a love language. Music is the glue that holds this beautiful world together. Whether it's real, or virtual, we need that in our lives. I know I'm not Red, that's okay. However, I do love her essence, and still keep her with me in ways I need to. If it's alright, I would love to try and carry on her legacy and continue to share music with the community. She has inspired me in so many ways, not just with music, but how to be the most authentic version of yourself. How to reach out, and connect with others, and connect us all- through music. Of course, this will be my own. I like to think I'm an old soul, and I was raised on generations way before my time with music through my dad, but of course through Red as well. Don't worry, it won't go without her own flare and inspiration. Not a single soul can replace her energy and range, but I hope that respectfully, I can give a little bit some day, as There still hangs around, and give some questing. As my schedule permits, as I do work IRL. I will attempt to do a playlist fitting a current theme running at the time. Clues will most likely be found in associated hoods, or my personal favourite places. We will all miss her for sure, but she will always be with us, one way or another. This is just my personal way of keeping her around, but also wanting to share. I hope I can give a unique take, keep it fun, interesting, and be just as eclectic and eccentric. Thank you for your time! Bare with me and please do be kind, I'll be trying my best! The logo is loosely inspired by Red, as she loved rainbows, I added her nametag colours, but also some fun things, we both love & included mushrooms in our decor. ♥ »»——————————————————» Edited February 3 by Jess added halloween graphic (: 1

Jess Posted January 1 Author Posted January 1 As Club Fair approaches, I will be doing a new quest. ♥
Jess Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 Late post is late! January 10th ~ January 17th 2025 Happy Birthday RedStorm. - 6300 Tbux Participants: Winner of the Club Fair MTQ: Mary_Helen!
Jess Posted February 3 Author Posted February 3 January 10th ~ January 17th 2025 Happy Birthday RedStorm - Tracklist 1. Pink Floyd - Learning to Fly One of Red's favourite bands, and definitely in my top 10, is Pink Floyd. In this video for the track Learning to Fly, from the 1987 Album, A Momentary Lapse of Reason. it has some breath taking visuals that bring me some peace, with such a calming tune. Red was also very passionate and in tune with Native American Culture and incorporated it with her decor. This music video was filmed in West Wind Ridge, in Alberta, Canada. 2. Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band - Against The Wind What this song means to me is also something special, and helps me feel connected still, with our friends, old and new. The people that shine true and real, and keep us strong in our lives. I was raised on Creedence Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger of course, with "Against The Wind", released in 1980. This song gives me so much, with moving on in what ever changes around us, you still have to keep going on. We have to stay humble, and the people who touch us, stay with us forever. That's how this makes me feel. ♥ 3. Alanis Morissette - Hand in my Pocket Red also was not a stranger to embracing strong feminine energy, another artist she absolutely loves is Alanis Morissette. Red is a big lover of female artists who have a killer raspiness to their voice. It's raw and powerful, and carries so much strenth and energy. Along with many other of her strong feminine tracks, it was released on her album "Jagged Little Pill". I know this song is insanely played on the radio, but I don't care, it's a hit! Her song, Hand in my Pocket, released in 1994 is such a relaxing tune, but it's just life. We are MANY many things, that make us who we are, and we have to embrace them, and each other. Be proud and own who and what you are, it's what makes us badass, and special to ourselves, but also those around us. 4. Muse - Starlight This song is a little more recent than the rest, from 2006. But it's beautiful and as a rock lover, even from the UK, I want to have an electic list. Back when MTV was still Music Television when I was in high school, the song "Starlight" by Muse played all the time. This track was one of the first I've ever heard, from their album Black Holes and Revalations, but the band is so under rated, don't just take this track and go! 5. David Bowie - Lazarus Now on subject, since we're on with UK artists, the inevitable- David Bowie. He is very eccentric and wild! Red loved him SO incredibly much, as do I. I told Red I cried when he passed because of the influence he's had on me in my youth. Bowie is an innovator, and influenced young people so much, that they are not alone. Just be YOU. But she told me, she did not cry when he passed, because he knew. He shared with the world the track Lazarus, to express that. But when he shared it, he was already long diagnosed with cancer. His way of going, is so that people did not remember him for his illness, but for his impact and influence, and who he truly is. Red and Bowie share the same Birthday - January 8th! Elvis too! 6. Barcelona - Please Don't Go This next song I heard maybe 15 years ago, and it's always my go to when I want to wind down, and feel close to my lost loved ones, or people I can no longer keep in touch with. It's beautiful, and really a hidden gem. The video for it is just as magical for me, that is if you don't have a fear of water! Just remember, to tell the ones you love how much you DO love them. The band Barcelona is an indie band, influenced by U2, Coldplay, and Death Cab For Cutie. They've played various charity shows as well to help those less fortunate. When they played a show at Pine Lake Middle School, they raised $10,000 for a cause to free modern day slaves around the globe, for the cause Loose Change to Loosen Chains. 7. Fleetwood Mac - Landslide It's no secret that Stevie has that raspy voice as well. It adds texture and body to the vocals. Fleetwood Mac is a huge staple for me, and I love girl bands, especially bands that carry a very mystical and bohemian vibe similar to theirs. With their huge track list, it doesn't matter how often I hear this song, it's always a beautiful classic. Landslide was released in 1975- but shockingly enough, the first time I heard this song was by the Smashing Pumpkins as a cover! 8. Flourence + the Machine - Rabbit Heart Now to give a bit of who I feel is a modern Fleetwood Mac. Formed in 2007, Flourence + the Machine is an English indie rock band, with some killer vocals and mystical sounds. Lead vocalist, Florence Leontine Mary Welch, the main songwriter and singer of the group, was raised Catholic, and a lot of their tracks hold some of those elements, despite currently, that she doesn't carry any sort of religion today. I can appreciate this because while Red was very in tune with her spirituality, she also believes that everyone should be free to ANY religion, as long as they feel at home. This track, "Rabbit Heart", is so beautiful and powerful, it brings me to tears, and little things like this continue to help me feel connected to the spirits of whom we love and miss, every day. 9. Sublime - What I Got Here's a feel good track, to chill the vibe for a second - Sublime's classic - "What I Got". Why not have a little bit of stoner vibes? I feel like Red would appreciate this too, it's 420 somewhere! Maybe for her, it's all the time! They give a fun extension from punk rock, with a little bit of reggae and ska. 10. Kate Bush - Cloudbusting It's no doubt that Kate Bush has had a huge impact on the music industry and a stepping stone for strong female artists, with her ethereal and captivating vocals. Additionally, Red also loves her deeply, as well. I'm sure by now we've all heard Running Up That Hill, it's so powerful and gives me goosebumps every time. But have you ever heard her track Cloudbusting? Back tracking to Pin Floyd, David Gilmour is the person who first discovered Kate Bush as a teenager, and helped kick start her career!
